2nd Grade, Room 209

Hello!  My name is Tamara Schaefer.  I grew up in Iowa.  In college I majored in elementary education and ended up returning to school several years later to get my MA in Reading. 

I started working for CPS after traveling a bit after college.

 

This is my 19th year teaching, my 9th year at Cameron. I enjoy working with the supportive Cameron community and love seeing my students grow and learn.

 

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  I have one son and a standard bernedoodle named Milo.  My husband and I live on the east side of the city.  You can usually find me on the walking path along Lake Michigan on the weekends.
